Radio Commercials – new voiceover demo
The joy of voicing.
Radio commercials continue to be one of my favourite areas of voiceover work, and I’ve had great fun putting this new demo together.
(To listen, you can scroll straight to the bottom of this page).
From the first time I voiced via ISDN back in 1999, I’ve loved the interaction with the producers, the challenge to fit words to time, and the opportunity to interpret a script on the fly.
Scripts this week have included remotely directed sessions using Source Connect Now and my trusty ISDN codec, plus self-recorded work where I get to play voiceover, director and studio engineer rolled into one.
An evolving industry.
Despite a turbulent few weeks for radio, radio advertising is still very much alive and well here in the UK, and I can’t see that changing any time soon.
Although the way radio is served up seems destined to continue to evolve, its ability to support and promote local businesses remains a cost-effective and creative medium that connects, and works.

Here’s a selection of recent ads featured on British radio stations, locally and nationally, including Virgin Money, Redrow and Laura Ashley.
