Hey natalie. Love the studio build blog. Looking to make mine atm but going to have to count the pennies. I have a few questions though if you’re not too busy? May I ask how much it cost you roundabouts? Also, did you store your computer console outside the studio? If so, how did you feed in the wires without giving a gap for noise? Wishing you all best. Struggling under a flight path atm!

Well said, Natalie (of course!). That’s fascinating and timely research. It will be a long time until machines develop what’s needed for an engaging performance or dialogue… empathy, emotion, true intelligence, life experience. Let’s hope they never do! It’s fortunate that we mere ‘right-brained’ humans can still detect the fakery.

In reply to Mark Thomas. I think things have moved on since I wrote this, but still, when you're listening and get past about the 30 second mark you'll begin to feel a nagging sense of unease. It's fascinating, because it sounds right, but it doesn't feel right, and humans feel things, this remains our super-power.
